Currently available in 9mm, .40, .45, and .380 calibers for a current price of $19.95 for a quanity of five (of a singluar caliber type), this is a nylon dummy round which simulates the Type 3 Malfunction, exactly as you might experience it in reality under live fire.
What is a Type 3 Malfunction?
For those of you new to firearms or with little training, there are three major types of malfunctions that can happen with semi-automatic handguns: Failure to Fire, Stove-Pipe, and Double-Feed. We are not going to go into detail right here and now about each one as you can easily looks those up via Google.
All three are serious and could have devasting and even fatal consequences should you not know how to quickly recognize and recover from such a malfunction in real life self-defense situation with your semi-automatic handgun. That is why it is so important to practice for these type of scenarios.
The first type, failure to fire, is usually easy to set-up and train for using your basic dummy round. The other two are quite hard to set-up and train for during any course of live fire training as they have been diffuclt to replicate with a bit of suprise.
Normally the only way to set-up for either one would be to acutally set-up it as if it had already happened which thus takes a way the surprise of when it happens and without knowing when it was going to happen.
